Bert Roseberry
Bert Roseberry 98, of Center Point, passed away on November 21, 2022, of congestive heart failure, after two days at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. There will be no services.
He was born on October 20, 1924, in rural Center Point, Iowa, to Austin and Susie (Bumgardner) Roseberry, the next to the youngest of ten children. Bert graduated from Center Point High School in 1942 and on July 1, 1944, married Evelyn Lanning in Toddville. They farmed north of Center Point and raised Polled Hereford cattle. Bert was a fourth generation Center Point area farmer. He was appointed as a rural representative on many Linn County boards and commissions throughout his life.
Survivors include three daughters Sharon (Rick) Hannen, Roberta Gilchrist, and Carolyn Roseberry all of Center Point, five grandchildren Deb (Bob Ramsey) Hannen, Laura (Bryan) Fleck, Brian (Molly) Gilchrist, Katie (David) Tibbetts, and Cami (Justin Brown) Kapayou, and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and wife Evelyn, who died on April 15, 2017.
