Gloria Rose Russell

Gloria Rose (Hansen) Russell, 84, died October 4, 2022 at Allen Hospice in Waterloo, IA.  She died from complications of pneumonia.  She was born June 6, 1938 in Dolliver, Iowa, daughter of Walt Hansen and Viola (Griese) Hansen.   
 
She lived in Janesville with her husband, Gene Russell.  They were married July 29 1968 in Independence.  Gloria worked at Donutland in Cedar Falls for 20 years.  She and her husband delivered the Waterloo courier for over 34 years.   
 
Gloria loved her flower gardens, spending time with her family.  She enjoyed crafting and sewing. She did jig saw puzzles and word search puzzles in her spare time.   
 
She will be especially missed by her husband, Gene and children, Pam Speer, Janesville, Lori 
(Bryan) Voyek, Janesville, Randy (Pam) Russell, Waverly, Rod Russell, Nashua, Ronnie (Lisa) Russel Parkersburg, Roger (Darci) Russell, Cedar Rapids, along with many grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids. Her brothers and sisters, Kenny (Helen) Hansen, Hood River, OR, Ann Myers, Winthrop, Pat Crouch, Hazelton, Ia, Roger (Diane) Hansen, Dolan Springs, AZ, Jean (Durwin) Bakken, Pleasant Hill, MO, Sue (Joe) Keeling, Riceville, Ray (Mary) Hansen, Oronoco, MN.  Several Nieces and Nephews.   
 
She was preceded in death by: her parents, her children, Mike Speer, Phyllis Cooper and Penny Speer, brother and sister-in-law, Harlan and Mary Lou Hansen, her brother-in-law’s Brian Crouch, Gary Myers and her nephew, Terry Myers.   
 
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 1 – 4pm, Saturday, October 8th at Antique Acres, 7610 Waverly Road, Cedar Falls, Iowa.
