Jeffrey “Jeff” Scott Kaiser

Jeffrey “Jeff” Scott Kaiser, beloved father, brother, uncle, great-uncle and friend, passed away Sunday, August, 28th at the age of 62. Jeff is survived by his son, Jaymes Jeffrey Kaiser and wife Anna Kaiser, daughter, Frankie Elaine Kaiser, brother, Frank Kaiser III and wife Joyce Kaiser, and nieces, nephews, and their children.

Jeff was born in Des Moines, Iowa on September 17th, 1959 to Frank Kaiser, Jr., and Barbara Smith. After attending Roosevelt High School, Jeff worked for the City of Des Moines Water Treatment department for over 20 years.

Jeff was a devoted father and spoke with his kids every day. He loved nothing more than spending time with them and recently spent a week visiting his daughter in Seattle. Jeff never missed an opportunity to tell his children how proud he was of them, no matter how big or small the accomplishment. A true fan of motorsports, Jeff would spend many weekends watching any racing series that was on. The past few years, he and his son would watch every F1 race together, sending countless texts back and forth as they watched. Jeff loved to cook and made some mean pancakes. His grilled (charcoal not gas!) hamburgers were a big family favorite. Friendly and hard-working, Jeff was always doing DIY projects around the house or yard and often lended a hand to neighbors. He will be deeply missed by his children, family, friends, and all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held from 4PM-6PM on Friday, October 21st at the Thoreau Center in Des Moines, IA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jeff’s honor to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
