Shelley Jo Irvin-Jones
Shelley Jo Irvin-Jones, 60, of Dawson, died on Thursday, November 24, 2022, in her home from complications of battling cancer. A memorial service to celebrate Shelley's life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Pizza Ranch in Waukee, with buffet lunch to follow.
Her family includes her husband, Robert (Bob) Jones of Dawson; daughter Jaicie Irvin of Ames; mother Jackie Lilley of Adel; brothers Perry Lilley of Perry, Kelly Lilley of Newton, Stacy Lilley of Perry, and Thomas (Tom) Lilley of Adel.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Lilley.
Shelley was born November 24, 1962, in Des Moines, Iowa. She spent her early years helping to care for her younger brothers and traveling in her early 20s. She settled down and had her daughter, Jaicie, at age 30 and moved to Adel to be closer to her family a few years later. She met her husband, Bob, in 2010 where they courted for about a year before getting engaged on November 4, 2011. They moved to Dawson shortly after where they spent time traveling together and lived in wedded bliss until her passing. Shelley enjoyed traveling, playing games, and time spent with family.
