Mary Downey
Mary Downey, 77, of Mt. Sterling, Iowa passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 surrounded by her husband and family by her side. She enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her flowers and gardening; spending time with her family, and playing on the women’s pool league. Mary had a heart of gold and will be dearly missed by so many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings Harry, George, Arnie and Marcia. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Andy; her children, Flint, Vrenae and Cresten; her brothers Forest and Bob Day; her grandchildren Cheyanne, Breanne, Heidi and Katlyn; and 4 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of a service, the family invites Mary’s friends and loved ones to join us in celebrating this beautiful life for a come and go gathering at the Keosauqua Senior Center at 801 Front Street, Keosauqua, Iowa on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 1-3 p.m.
