Robert “Bob” Earl Swartz
Robert “Bob” Earl Swartz, 97, passed away Monday August 14, 2023, in Anamosa. Per his wishes, there will be no services. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Bob was born June 13, 1926, to Otis and Dorothy (Meek) Swartz in Anamosa Iowa. He married Betty Thompson, and together they had two children. Bob worked many years for the Iowa DOT as a communications technician. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He loved his family and his two cats.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Mark), and his grandchildren, Annie and Gib.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife Betty, and his son Tim.
Memorials may be directed to the Animal Welfare Friends in Monticello.
