Corinne Lavonne “Alexander” Fox
Corinne Lavonne “Alexander” Fox, 92 of Iowa Falls, IA passed peacefully Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Corinne was born on October 9, 1930 on the Nash Farm West of Fort Dodge Iowa to James and Genevieve Alexander.
Corinne was one of 5 children. Her siblings sister, Carol (Henry) LaMotte, brother, James (Jolene) Alexander, brother, David Alexander, and sister, Cynthia (Jim) Dunlap.
Corinne graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1948. She went on to attend Fort Dodge Junior College where she was then employed as a secretary at the local High School.
Corinne married Roger William Fox at the First Congregational Church in Fort Dodge Iowa on April 4, 1954. They had two sons, Steven Roger Fox (Kathy) and Kevin James Fox (Beth). Corinne had several Grandchildren: Daniel (Sarah) Fox, Kate (Adam) Mattingly, Jillian (Jason) Ferguson, Kelsy (Richard) Rubio, Mary (Mark) Handsacker, and Julie (Brad) Samson. She had several great-grandchildren. And several nieces and nephews.
Corinne was a stay at home Mother to her two children Steve and Kevin. They all ran the family farm for many years. Corinne was a cub scout leader, library board member, UMW Officer, and secretary on the board of Sunrise Apartments.
Corinne and Roger were always involved in their local church. They were avid members of the United Church of Christ in Blairsburg & Iowa Falls and St. Johns United Methodist Church in Radcliffe. They were Sunday school teachers and bible study teachers.
Corinne had many hobbies but some of her favorites were reading, knitting blankets, and slippers for all of her grandkids, and writing and receiving letters from her family members. She will be dearly missed.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Roger. Son, Steven and daughter in law Kathy. Her parents, James and Genevieve Alexander. Sister, Carol Lamotte, Brother-in-law, Henry LaMotte and Sister-in-law, Jolene Alexander.
A celebration of life with be held Friday, March 24,2023 at 1:00p at the First Congregational United Church of Christ on 520 College Avenue in Iowa Falls, Iowa. A graveside burial to follow at the Williams, Iowa Township Cemetery.
