Bonnie Jean Balichek

Bonnie Jean Balichek (Darrow), 81, of Oxford Junction passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2023,
at the Monticello Nursing Center following a sudden illness.

Born at home to Leonard “Whitey” and Berdena (Brockhohn) Darrow on December 9th, 1941, outside
of Monticello. She graduated from Oxford Junction High School in 1960.

She married Boyd King in 1960, they were later divorced. Of this union were two children Connie
and (Eugene) Wood, Richard and (Edelyn) King. On March 12, 1998, she married Ronald Balichek of
Oxford Junction.

She worked at Marie’s Sweet Shop, Schultz Bros., Collins Radio, and Goss Graphic for 25 years,
retiring in 2001.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ronald Balichek, her children and their spouses,
two stepchildren, seven grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and
fourteen step-great grandchildren. Bonnie was also a mother figure to Tom and Jerry Weaver.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law Herman (Mary) Darrow.

There will be a private celebration of life.
