David R. Bowers, 59, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away in peace on Monday, March 6th, 2023.
He is survived by his Life Partner, Elmer Reedy of Cedar Rapids, and two sisters, Vickey and Dixie Bowers, both also of Cedar Rapids.
David was known by many and loved by all as a friend and a brother. Bartending, cooking, baking, he had done it all, including being the proud parent of many cats over the years. With a loud, happy yell, everyone knew when he was around. He always spoke the truth, even when it hurt. A compassionate man with a dry sense of humor, David will be deeply missed for many years to come.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 30th, 1-4 pm at Chappys in Cedar Rapids.
