Angela Marie Darrow

Angela Marie Darrow passed away unexpectedly in her home in Hopkinton at the age of 65, on Sunday, May 14, 2023.

She leaves behind a grieving family that includes her devoted children, Ricky (Kaylee) Clark and Nyoaka (Elliot) Clark, as well as five beloved grandchildren; Blake, Gracelynn, Hayden, Isabelle, and Brilynne. Left to feel the loss of their cherished sister are Angela’s siblings; Larry (Sandy) McBride, Mary Beth (Donny) Ellis, and Mike (Tonya) McBride and her nieces and nephews; Tyler McBride, Heather McBride, Tesa McBride, and Cameron McBride.

Angela has reunited with her husband, Trent Wade “Wimp” Darrow, who preceded her in passing in 2010. She also joins her parents, Floyd and Barbara (Kepler) McBride.

Angela was born on the 4th of July in 1957 in Cedar Rapids, the first child to Floyd and Barbara. After completing her education at Anamosa High School, she joined the workforce at Polo Custom Products in Monticello where she channeled her love of handcrafting into a career in needlework. Angela chose to leave the workforce after a cancer diagnosis, which she was able to defeat. She chose to spend her days doting on her children and grandchildren, hand crafting many items that she would gift to friends and family. She enjoyed cooking, especially for large family get-togethers and holidays, and was never as happy as when she was surrounded by loved ones. Her memory will be kept alive and well by those who knew and loved her best.

Angela’s family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
