Beverly Kay Church

Beverly Kay Church, also known as Bev, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 8, 2024, at the age of 83 in Iowa City, IA. She was born on March 23, 1940, in Moline, IL, to George and Frances (Phillips) Hipple.

Beverly had a fulfilling career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), working at Genesis and several nursing homes in the Quad City area and Dewitt. She was dedicated to providing care and support to those in need.

Her journey through life was one of love and devotion. Married to Allen Livingston in 1956, they were blessed with three children before parting ways. In 1966, she married Douglas Church, with whom she shared raising another son. Her family was the cornerstone of her existence, and she nurtured each relationship with grace and affection.

Beverly is survived by her four children: Tami (Slama) Livingston-Urmie, Eric Livingston, Erron Livingston, and Brian Church. She was a loving grandmother to Tara (Slama) Langley, Joshua Slama, Katie (Slama) White, Levi Livingston, Brett Livingston, and Seviann Bunn. Beverly was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Jacob Langley, Nolan Slama, Addison Langley, Everett White, Harper Slama, Eleanor White, Melanie Livingston, and Sterling Slama.

In her free time, Beverly enjoyed swimming and spending time with her best friends. She had a talent for hand embroidery and was known for her excellent craftsmanship.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on February 12, 2024, at the Tipton Country Club from 1 - 5 pm, located at 1143 Cedar Valley Road, Tipton, IA. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life lived.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family kindly requests that you pay it forward with acts of kindness. Beverly believed in the power of spreading love and positivity, and the family wishes to continue her legacy by encouraging others to do the same.

Beverly will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May her soul rest in peace.
