Charles "Chuck" Jordan

Charles “Chuck” Jordan passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2024, of his long battle with cancer.

He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he attended Jefferson High School. After graduation, he joined the US Navy at 17. He served on the USS Juneau for four years. His employment included being a pressman at Wagners Printers; Pressroom Manager at Cedar Graphics; and Pressroom Manager at TPI in Des Moines.

Through the years, he enjoyed his family, geode digging trips, music, creativity through sand-blasting projects, soaking up the sun in the pool, bird watching, and his pets.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Jordan, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Florence June (Paul) of Marion; sisters, Laura Holecek of Marion, and Linda (Dave) Adams of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Travis Jordan of Des Moines; Christopher Jordan of Chicago; and nieces and nephews.

Chuck loved his family; and was a great teacher for them as well as guiding his employees in the printing industry. His cleverness and sense of humor was always with him. He was a great listener and helped to find the good in any situation. We will miss him dearly. Thank you for being such a fine, great man. Come join us for a Celebration of Chuck’s Life at Morgan Creek New Shelter Pavilion on Friday, August 2nd from 5:00 – 8:00 pm; located at 7212 E Avenue NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405.
