He was born on September 23, 1951, to Donald Eden and Mary (Dittmer) Eden. He was born and spent his entire life in Cedar Rapids where he attended Washington, High School and Kirkwood. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed working on his vintage cars and his Harley Davidson motorcycles. Dave was a character who had extremely strong opinions on life and politics and was known to be quick to express his frustrations. Beneath all the bravado, Dave was thoughtful and kind hearted. He was fearless and loved driving anything that was fast and powerful. He also
enjoyed the outdoors and was particularly fond of hunting and fishing with his dad whom he adored. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and his extended Eden and Dittmer families.
He is survived by his daughter Nicole Lepic and her husband Matt, Solon, IA and their children Tiffany, Thomas, Landon, and Austin; son Mike Eden and his wife Kayosha, North Liberty, IA and their son Tatum; brothers Steve Eden and his wife Nancy, Swisher, IA; Doug Eden and his wife Willie, Longboat Key, FL; Stuart Eden and his wife Sheila, Valparaiso, IN; Jason Eden, Cedar Rapids, IA.
