Allen "Al" Howard Heefner
Allen (Al) Howard Heefner, 76, passed away on November 25, 2024, at Northbrook Care Center surrounded by family and friends.
A memorial service will take place January 18, 2025, at 10:30 AM, at the Springville Methodist Church in Springville, Iowa. A luncheon will follow the service.
Allen is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandy Heefner, son Brian (Angel) Heefner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; stepson Perry (Dalene) White of Leawood, Kansas; stepmother Darlene Heefner of Hiawatha. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Fae Heefner.
Al was born on August 31, 1948, to Howard and Fae Heefner in Toddville, Iowa. He graduated from Center Point High School and received his BA from the University of Texas at Dallas. He worked in telecommunications at several locations before retiring in 2010. Al enjoyed photography, Nascar, Classic car shows and cooking. He will be missed dearly by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Al’s name to Springville Methodist Church, Springville, Iowa; Mercy Hospice in Cedar Rapids, Iowa or Northbrook Care Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
