Cedric Lofdahl
Marcia and family, Our heartfelt sympathies on the passing of a wonderful, kind, curious, passionate, and compassionate man. Upon first meeting Cedric during an Linn County Interreligious Council TV interview, he influenced me to encourage respect, acceptance & inclusion in all aspects of people, not only religiously. Our community has benefited immensely from his presence, and our loss is great without him. Steve & Herman Ginsberg and family
Marcia and family: May the Great Physician ease your pain at this time of loss and grief. I am grateful to have known Cedric through shared committee work with Cedric in the SEIA synod. He was always thoughtful and compassionate, hard working and deeply committed. His servant leadership was evident long before servant leadership was commonly recognized. May there be deep peace in the chaos of loss and transitions. God bless you all. Norma
Marcia, Eric, Andrew and family: Peace be with you during this trying time. The Lord will be with you through everything. Back in 1978 when our daughter, Janet was a baby, we came to check out Holy Redeemer and was impressed by Pastor, Marcia and the congregation as a whole. We sat and talked with Pastor and Bill became a member and in December Janet was baptized and we all became members of Holy Redeemer. In our hearts we knew that this church, this Pastor, this Choir Director and this congregation felt like home. I enjoyed working with Pastor by reading passages of scripture and singing litergy. He was a Pastor for everyone and we knew he would be there in our time of need. We will truly miss him. You should all be proud of his true faith and conviction in servicing the congregation. Remember all the good memories we shared and remember that we too will see him again in Heaven someday. Blessings and Love sent to your family. Bill, Vicki, Janet and Christopher Oakley
I have known Cedric in many capacities. In all he made a positive contribution to the advancement of those he served. He understood the role of a pastor. He served the needs of his congregation. He was a preacher, teacher, counselor, leader, and always an example that others could follow. I appreciate the help he provided to me on my journey. God will bless his family going forward and they remember with gratitude Cedric's life while he was here. He left the world better than he found it. William C.
