Jo Ann Elizabeth Cudd

Jo Ann Elizabeth Cudd, aged 92, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Cudd and her sister, Paula Killian.

She is survived by her children, Susan Whitaker (George) of Texas, Shana Britton (widowed, Stuart) of Iowa, Paula Robuck (Roy) of North Carolina, and ‘adopted’ daughter Janique Wood (Mark) of California. She was ‘Nana’ to 5 grandchildren and had 3 great-grandchildren.

Married to an Air Force pilot, she spent more than 20 years as a homemaker both stateside and in England, moving every few years as the Service dictated. After her husband’s retirement from the Service, she was a long-time resident of Batesville, Arkansas.

For over 45 years she was actively involved in her community. The local medical center, her church, P.E.O. Sisterhood, and community theater were all touched by her hours of volunteer time and fellowship. Over the years she also enjoyed other activities such as reading, bowling, needlework, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and collecting stamps and bi-centennial memorabilia.

She moved to Iowa in 2020 to be near immediate family as she aged.   After suffering several falls and breaks over the last few years she is now at peace.
