Dow Earl Prouty

When your family lived on Evergreen street up the hill from the Ryders, I often played with and babysat for the Prouty children. I remember being fascinated and a little envious when Mr. Prouty built a “bridge” in the backyard. No water, of course, just a low place in the lawn. That little bridge provided hours of games and play time. Even then, I had a sense that he was a dad first and a builder second; a gentle man who genuinely cared about a young girl down the street. I am very sorry for your loss. Beth (Ryder) Hill
