Carolyn J. Lang, 86, passed away at her home on July 2, 2025.

Carolyn was born on January 26,1939, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Carl H. Luedeman and Martha G. Aaron. Carolyn attended West Branch schools.

Carolyn was united in marriage to John C. Lang on November 30, 1957, in Nashua, Iowa. Carolyn and John made their home in Tipton, Iowa after John served in the Navy. They had two sons, James A. and Timothy C. Lang.

Carolyn was a homemaker and later in life would work part time with John at the Tipton Community Schools bus garage.

Carolyn enjoyed many things. Woodworking, baking, (in which she held many purple ribbons for from her entries at the county fair), gardening, bird watching, the Chicago Bears, and most importantly, attending flea markets.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Jim Lang (Kim) Nichols, Iowa, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Carl Luedeman; husband, John; son, Tim and many beloved pets. 

Per Carolyn’s wishes, no services will be held.  Donations may be made in her honor to your local humane society.
