Obituary for Elaine Edna Faas

Elaine Edna Faas 72 of Cedar Rapids, passed away suddenly on July 23, 2025. She was born October 15, 1952 and graduated in 1970 from Deep River-Millersburg High school. Following that she attended Young School of Beauty and worked as a Professional Hairdresser for 27 years. She then joined Patricia Foltz as co-owner of a local house cleaning business in Cedar Rapids until retirement in 2019. Having known each other for 27 years She and Patricia were united in marriage on May 4, 2019.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and the Eagles Club of Cedar Rapids.

Surviving are Wife, Patti, a Brother Duane Faas (Sheryl) of Ames, Iowa, a Sister Deb Faas (Glen), of Knoxville, Iowa, a Nephew, Josh (Jules) Faas also of Ames, Iowa, and four great nieces and two great-nephews.

Preceding her in death were her Father and Mother, Dairyl and Edna (Wardenburg) Faas of Milllersburg, Iowa and Great niece, Baby Karlie Faas of Ames.

Elaine enjoyed golfing, fishing, and playing basketball in younger years, spending time with long time and in making new friends. She loved her fur babies especially Ernie, her long haired dachshund. She loved watching Iowa Hawkeyes Football and Men and Women's basketball, WNBA, You Tube TV.

She had a heart of gold, and was life of the party. You never had to ask Elaine what she was thinking- she would tell you! She could see people for who they were, and most always right, good or bad.

She was funny and unique and will be greatly missed by those who loved her and never forgotten.

Following Elaine's wishes she was cremated and there will be no service at this time.
