Harley W. Conrad, 92, passed away on June 30th at Cedar Manor Nursing Home. Private family arrangements are currently pending.

Harley was born on October 31, 1932, the son of Arnold and Esther Conrad. After graduating from Tipton High School in 1950, he was drafted in the U.S Army from 1953-1955, serving in Mannheim, Germany.

On May 24th, 1966, Harley married Marilyn (Clemmens) Guthrie, a young widow with three young daughters. They all joined in the marriage ceremony at the West Liberty United Methodist Church and made their home in Tipton. He managed the petroleum department for Cedar County Co-Op for eighteen years, and fourteen years in the Clarence Co-Op of Iowa. Harley retired early at the age of 54, giving him time to operate his car washes in Tipton and Clarence.

Those left to honor his memories are his wife Marilyn of 59 years; Daughters, Ann Conrad (Phil Strickler), Gail (Scott) Thiel and Ruth (Jerry) Zollars; Seven grandchildren; Eric, Christina, Andrew, Michael, Olivia, Tara and Isaac; Eight great grandchildren; Willow, Claire, Briar, Constantine, Daisy, Miles, Strider and Kaden; Brother, Gene (Jean Ann) Conrad; Sister-in-Law Ruby Clemmens, Sister-In-Law Shirley Conrad, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth Conrad and nephew Clint Conrad.
