Roger Lee Strong
Roger Lee Strong, 75, of Cedar Rapids, passed away March 17, 2025, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Per his wishes, there will be no services. He didn’t want a fuss made over him.
Roger was born on March 28, 1949, to Merlin and Alice Strong. He grew up in Lansing, Iowa and loved all the fishing, hunting, and trapping that goes with living on the Mississippi. He worked at Wilson/Farmstead for 25 years. He then had Strong’s Restoration in Swisher for over 20 years. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Atlanta Braves. Roger loved to go fishing, mushrooming, and visiting the casino. He will always be remembered as a funny guy!
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Barb Strong; sister, Rita Strong and her daughter, Amanda; and niece, Tiffany.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Merlin and Alice Strong; and sister Shirley Bruening and her children, Trisha and Todd.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
