Obituary for Alan William Remington

Alan William Remington, Age, 74, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away at the Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, IA, on Monday, September 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Per Alan’s wishes, no services will be provided at this time.

Alan was born on August 22, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, IA. He was the son of the late Frank A. and Naomi R. (Miller) Remington. He attended Jefferson High School and was a wonderful clarinet player in both the Marching and Concert Bands. He was a devout volunteer for the Mississippi Valley Blood Center, and Alan adopted and loved many cats throughout his life.

Those left to cherish Alan’s life is his brother, Jon (Mary) Remington, of Cedar Rapids, IA; his nephew, Scott (Paola) Remington, of Laveen, AZ; his niece, Rebecca Remington, of Dubuque, IA, and his cat Adele. He was preceded in death by his parents and his Uncle Bill Remington.
