Gary W. Yeakle, 79, born March 19, 1947 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on April 20, 2026. Keeping with Gary’s wishes, a private Celebration of Life has been held by family.
Survivors include; daughters, Kris (Eric), Kimberly, Denise, and a son, Travis (Jen) also five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren! Gary was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a brother.
Gary Wayne Yeakle was born March 19, 1947 to Louis and Darlene Yeakle, in Cedar Rapids. He lived in Belle Plaine, Iowa with his lifetime partner, Gayla Yeakle. Gary was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed spending time on the Cedar River, boating with family and friends, or fishing from a sand bar. Gary relaxed at home in his chair, watching birds and various wildlife that visited his feeders. He will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
