Christine “Chris” Potter
Dave and Jan, so sorry to read that Chris passed recently. Fond memories of your girls when I lived across the street from you on Douglas Court. She always had a smile on her face ! Pat & I will be out of town during her service but wanted to express our sincere condolences. How swiftly the sands of time slip through the hourglass of time. Cherish the memories and hold them close.
Dave & Jan, I'm so sorry for your loss, this shouldn't happen. Please know you are in my special thoughts and prayers, I miss you both.. Annamae Baker
I am sad to hear about Chris' passing. I took bass clarinet lessons from Chris for three years, when I was at Jefferson and she was at Coe. She was great to learn with and I enjoyed getting glimpses of college life with her friends popping in to the practice room. I even played one concert outdoors on campus with the Coe Band during my senior year. After I graduated from Central, I met Chris by chance at a restaurant. She told me that her friend Julie Hibbard-Young was now the interim conductor at Coe and that they could use more musicians. On that tip, I joined and I am still playing as a community musician more than 35 years later, first alongside my dad, then with my husband, and with countless Kohawk students and friends. I have always appreciated my time with Chris and remember those days fondly.
