Ruth Ann Medberry
Ruth Ann Medberry, 82, of West Union, IA, passed away on May 23rd, 2026, surrounded by family.
Ruth was born to Paul and Rose (McElhaney) Good on April 11th, 1944, in Waterloo, IA. She later graduated from the Arlington School District.
Ruth married Eugene Medberry on October 10th, 1962, to this union five children were born. They later divorced.
She provided for her daughter by working at Browns Department Store in West Union. She later worked at Atwood/Dura of West Union for thirty-one years. After retiring from Dura, Ruth started working at Palmer Lutheran Hospital in dietary and volunteering for Cardiac Rehab.
Ruth enjoyed her flower gardens, her dogs, driving her golf cart and garage sales.
Surviving Ruth are her daughters Roberta of West Union; Connie (Mat) Benjegerdes of West Union; two grandsons, Ryan (Ali) Benjegerdes of Story City, IA; Lucas (Amanda) Benjegerdes of Waukon, IA; six great-grandchildren, Lydia, August, Callum, Ellis, Emmett and Henry; her sister Viola (Al) Westcott of Arlington, IA; her nephew and niece, and many friends.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Rose Good; and her infant children, Todd, Jean, and Jan.
A private graveside service will be held.
