Kevin William Foutch, 65, of Winterset passed away on August 28,2024. Celebration of life will be held on September 28th at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Creston. Zoom link provided below.  Luncheon to follow the service.

Kevin was born on October 8,1958 to William and Eleanor (Barnes) Foutch in Iowa City. Kevin was the second child of ten children. First Dennis Foutch, then Kevin Foutch, Mark Foutch, Jeff Foutch, Ron Gepner, Robert Potter, Roger Potter, Rick Potter, Shelly (Potter) Johnson, and Ryan Moran.

In 1980, Kevin met Kathy Kienast. Kevin saw Kathy and stopped to ask the young lady if she needed a ride while she was walking alongside the road. Fortunately, Kathy accepted. On April 10,1981, they were married. Later four children were born to this union: Jonathan, Jessica, Joseph, and Michael.

Kevin worked at Central Paving in road construction for several years. Later working for Jimmy Dean in Osceola. When Jimmy Dean closed, he worked for Van Mark in Creston. Then, worked for the BNSF Railroad as a conductor and engineer. Kevin worked on the railroad for 20 years with no incidents. Kevin retired on railroad disability due to his health in 2016.

On July 1, 2017, Kevin confirmed his dedication and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the “Don’t Give Up” Regional Convention. He was an active member of the Winterset congregation.

Kevin loved hunting, riding motorcycles, his family and Jehovah. Kevin was known for having a big heart and big smile. He reflected his love and joy by spreading his faith with others. His memory will forever stay in our hearts until we see him again.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Ellie (Ron) Moran. His wife; Kathy, his four children: Jonathan (Jenny), Jessica, Joseph (Noel), and Michael. Siblings; Jeff Foutch, Ron (Karrie) Gepner, Roger (Brenda) Potter, Rick (Kenna) Potter, Shelly (Ben) Johnson, and Ryan (Crystal) Moran. Sister-in-law; Amy (John) Marshall, grandchildren; Sheona (Anthony), Eian (Emma), Ethan, Leilynd, and Keidan. Great grandchildren; Ellowin and Allister, many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Preceding in death is his father, William Foutch. Brothers: Robert Potter, Mark Foutch, Dennis (3 months). Father and Mother-in-law Maynard and Eleanor Kienast.
