Dale Francis Brcka
Dale was a dear friend since childhood when we were lived across the road from each other. We had a great time shooting our BB guns in both of our groves. We rarely hit a can, but scared a lot of birds. I enjoyed riding on your red tractor, working together on the farms, doing tractor work and chores. We went to Erin Township County school Number One together. It went from Kindergarten to 12th grade in 1952 when I started Kindergarten (the first year of Iowa Kindergarten) and Dale started 1st grade. We walked or rode our bikes to school. The school was only about a 1/4 mile Californian on Kopacek's farm. We were close friends - friends for life. In 1961 my family moved to California, but we returned almost every summer to visit family and friends. Then we started our adult lives - college, jobs, marriage, kids, raising those kids. You came to the Ag Farm Show in Tulare and contacted us. We got together and reconnected. We've remained close with long telephone calls ever since. Brcka family, know that Dale will always be in our hearts and minds. We will miss him. May the peace of God that passes all understanding be with each of you and comfort you. Sincerely. Dale was a very nice man. Nancy and I will miss him.
Dale hired me in 1983 for my first job in the equipment business at M-F. He was the leader of a band of brothers working in the midwest. I worked for Dale for only a few years, but we have remained friends for 40. I will miss hearing Dale's distinctive voice on the other end of our many phone conversations. He was a mentor, friend and brother. Rest in peace old friend! See ya on the other side!
