Kevin J. Burrows

Kevin J Burrows, 66, passed away May 26, 2024, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm on June 6, 2024,at Noelridge Park by the duckpond in Cedar Rapids.

Kevin was born June 30, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Ralph Burrows and Mary Williams.  He attended Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Kevin fell in love with his best friend Cindy, and they were married on December 4, 1977.  In their 46 years of marriage they had four children; Tonya, Nicole, Melissa and Nathan, and we’re blessed with eight grandchildren; Shaylee, Deysiah, Kaylee, Iyanah, Cameron, Devante, Jayvion, and Kamauri, along with one great-grandson, Jamias.

Kevin was a friend to everyone he met and showed kindness and love to anyone.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and camping, and looked forward to his yearly camping trip with his friends.  Kevin was very passionate about motorcycles and scooters.  He would spent hours in his garage, rebuilding and tinkering with engines.  He loved spending his summers traveling to air shows with his son, especially Osh Kosh, making new friends along the way.

Kevin came from a large family, and is survived by his sisters, Amy and Sandra, and his brothers, Chuck, David, and Don, as well as Nancy and Gary McClure who treated him as their own, and many nieces and nephews.  Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry Burrows and sister Sylvia Kelley.
