Kevin J. Burrows

There are no words that convey the sadness that we all share at Kevin's loss. He was a special man and friend. He was there to help and encourage. Loved his sarcastic sense of humor. He was my husband Mike's best friend . The only comfort that I hold is knowing they are together, fishing and catching up across the veil. The Earth lost a bright light. Love you Kev! May your family find peace and comfort in their memories of you.

We grew up together on Clifton Street as teenage kids. I loved hanging out at Harding Jr High and Noelridge Park with these knuckleheads😃 I wouldn’t trade those days or my friends for anything in the world! Sadly, I had to move away the summer of my 16th birthday. I still have family in Iowa so somehow I stayed in touch with Kevin and a few others throughout the years. I’m very grateful that Kevin, my brother Rick and I spent the day together up in northern Iowa going to different state parks. Kevin was nice enough to drive us Oakies (Oklahomans) around. This was in 2022 and the last time I got to visit with Kevin. Kevin always made time to visit with Rick & I whenever we came back to Cedar Rapids. He was my Pal and I will always cherish our friendship. He was truly one of a kind🩵 I believe I will see him again one day. Thought and prayers for his family that he always talked about and loved so much❣️.
